Linnea Ryshke was born in Los Angeles, CA and received her MFA in Visual Art from Washington University in St. Louis, and her BFA in Painting from Pratt Institute. She creates paintings, drawings, artist books, and poetry that seek to restore the value of nonhuman animals as kindred beings worthy of our adoration, respect, and empathy. Alongside her art practice, she is an educator and has served as the Administrative Director for Culture Push, Inc., a non-profit arts organization in New York City.
