Janell O’Rourke is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Queens New York. Janell has a BFA from Colorado State University, an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and has done postgraduate studies at New York University. Her recent work has been exhibited at the National Museum of Animals & Society in Los Angeles, Kentler International Drawing Space in Brooklyn, New York, and St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue, New York. She has received a number of awards, including the Merit Award, Vermont College of Fine Arts (2011); the Soaring Gardens Artists’ Retreat, Pennsylvania (2010); and the Individual Artist Initiative from Queens Council for the Arts (2009).
