Dara Lovitz is an attorney, author, and longtime advocate for veganism and social justice. For more than two decades, she has been a leading voice in examining how legal systems, cultural norms, and corporate interests shape the treatment of animals and the rights of the people who fight for them. Lovitz’s first book, the original Muzzling a Movement, has become a resource for activists and scholars seeking to understand the strategic suppression of animal liberation efforts. Lovitz is an Adjunct Professor of Animal Law at Temple University Beasley School of Law and Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. She is the author of various academic articles and book chapters as well as the following books: Twinsight: A Guide to Raising Emotionally Healthy Twins,Catching Falling Cradles: A Gentle Approach to Classic Rhymes, and Gag Reflections: Conquering a Fear of Vomit Through Exposure Therapy.
